Her face was pale, her eyes pale with melancholy as she held Bai Liu's umbrella, and the clicking of her joints that she had been making turned into a sultry female voice: "You're not him."

The next moment, the woman turned her head to look across the bridge, and returned her gaze to Bai Liu, with a look that sent shivers down her spine: "I've waited for so many people, and it's not him."

The bridge is close at hand.

The woman's little feet gave a little kick, her eyes red as she looked towards the bridge, her body soaked in the murky river water, dripping down her clothes as the umbrella turned inwards, pulling Bai Liu towards the bridge, as if she was about to take him down with her at any moment.

Mu Sicheng finally relented and tried to pull Bai Liu out.

Bai Liu, however, took the initiative and pulled out of the parachute, ordering in a cold voice, "Jump!"

Mu Sicheng was confused for a moment, but soon realised that Bai Liu was telling him to jump into the river, and he looked at the river in horror and disbelief.

The assassins seemed to hear Bai Liu's words and slowly turned their bodies over, revealing a puffy, decomposing face that smiled at them.

Shit, there are so many corpses under the bridge, jumping off is just a death sentence!

Before Mu Sicheng had time to prepare himself, Bai Liu took his hand and jumped down without hesitation.

Both Mu Sicheng and the martyred bridge demon pause for a few seconds, probably not expecting Bai Liu to be so self-conscious as to jump into the river herself before she can drag herself down.

Bai Liu and Mu Sicheng fell into the water, the dark water with fishy smell poured into Mu Sicheng's mouth and nose, he reflexively choked and coughed a few times, behind him came the woman's heartbreaking and harsh yell: "...... give me back!"

Mu Sicheng was so shocked by this yell that he took a moment to look back in his panic and was shocked to find that Bai Liu had actually grabbed the umbrella of the bridge martyr before jumping off the bridge!

The woman had no umbrella in her hands, she was dressed in white, her eyes were dripping with tears of blood, her face was resentful as she looked at Bai Liu and Mu Sicheng who had jumped into the river, and she turned and jumped without hesitation towards the bridge pier.

Flesh and bone shattered as the woman slammed against the bridge abutment and became a bloody half-face again, her huge black mouth stuffed with mud and sand open wide and her scowl unmistakable as she came after Bai Liu in the water.

Not just her, but all the floating corpses in the water were like sharks that had caught a whiff of something fishy, and their puffy, rotten bodies swam strangely, coming underwater towards Bai Liu!

"Shit!" Mu Sicheng turned his head and tugged Bai Liu's wrist as he swam forward, "Run!"

"If we don't run, we can't get away." Bai Liu Liu treads water, his head floating on the surface, his face pale as he looks to the banks of the river, "There are things guarding the banks, we can't get up there if we run."

Mu Sicheng looking towards the shore.

The paper daoist rang a golden bell and drove the zombies and the martyred bridge ghosts who had given them umbrellas off the bridge, and then the zombies bounced and stopped on the other side of the river.

The paper daoist put a talisman on the foreheads of the zombies standing in position, and then shook his head and rang the bell far away.

As the paper doyen walked on, it reached the entrance to the main chamber opposite the bridge, and it suddenly set itself on fire as if a little spark had fallen on it from a distant drift.

Within a few moments, the lifelike paper figure was reduced to smoke and dust and dissipated into thin air.

It was only then, in the faint light of the burning paper daoist, that Mu Sicheng saw one stout, silent zombie corpse after another hidden in the darkness on the other side of the bridge.

These zombies, all middle-aged men with a yellow talisman on their heads, stand motionless at regular intervals at the river's edge, next to the martyred bridge ghosts with umbrellas covering their faces.

They seem to have been deliberately set up in this way to guard the graves, with some white bones and hiking packs at their feet, and some dead, not yet fully decomposed bodies.

The corpses' mouths were wide open in fear, their faces blackened and two large bloody holes in their necks.

The corpses, dressed as they were, were all passers-by from Yinshan Village who had somehow strayed into the tomb and jumped into the river in terror when they encountered the ghosts of the martyred bridge, only to be torn to death by the zombies on the shore before they could breathe a sigh of relief.

Under the orange light of the burning paper daoist, these zombies are motionless but angry, their three white eyes rolling and staring deadly at the Bai Liu floating in the river, their fangs stained with dried, yellowed blood.

This shore is off limits!

What about turning back? Let's go up through the upper bridge and escape this first!

Mu Sicheng, while dragging Bai Liu frantically through the water, turned his head to look at the other side of the bridge and his eyes widened in shock: "How come the way we came is gone!?"

On the other side of the bridge was an illusory blackness, no solid reality could be seen, nor could they see the way they had come, only some greenish-blue spots of ghostly fire floating in the pitch blackness, floating far up the bridge from the darkness, transforming into ghostly paper figures.

Bai Liu choked twice as he fell into the water and turned quite pale: "There's no turning back on the road to the underworld, don't even think about going back."

Mu Sicheng subconsciously asked, "If we can't go ashore, if we can't turn back, then where do we go now?"

When he finished, he glanced back at the floating corpses in hot pursuit behind him, his face grumpy as he cursed, "These damn things are swimming pretty fast."

Bai Liu was sucked up and choked with Yin water, and as a living man his Yang energy was greatly diminished and he was completely lifted by Mu Sicheng downstream on his shoulders after going into the water.

Luckily, Mu Sicheng was in good shape and Bai Liu was not too heavy, so Mu Sicheng was still swimming fast as he dragged them for a long distance, but even so, the floaters behind them were getting closer and closer.

Bai Liu adjusted her breathing and lifted her soaked eyelashes to look at the bridge, "Let's swim a lap and go back under the bridge."

Mu Sicheng was dumbfounded: "Ha??!"

Bai Liu looks to Mu Sicheng: "With your speed you should be able to swim around with these floating corpses back under the bridge."

Mu Sicheng asked rhetorically from the bottom of his heart, "No, we just risked our lives by jumping off the bridge, why would we go back under it?!"

With so many ghosts on the bridge, Bai Liu is looking for death if he goes back now!

Bai Liu's manoeuvres are so unbelievable that Mu Sicheng's mind is boggled, but before he can say anything, the floating corpse behind him catches up with him.

Mu Sicheng felt as if he had stepped on the back of a slippery, cloth-cloaked body.

The faces of several drowned men appeared in a blur beneath the swaying water around them, and then Bai Liu, who had been lifted by Mu Sicheng, sank violently, as if something had grabbed her by the ankles and dragged her down.

"Fuck!" Mu Sicheng cursed angrily and leaned back, his arms shot up and his lower legs kicked hard to pull Bai Liu's thing up from underwater.

Bai Liu was plucked from the water, his face growing paler, his eyes closed and his hair wet against his forehead, sliding downwards in droplets of water.

"Bai Liu!" Mu Sicheng yelled as he swam, shaking Bai Liu furiously and slapping him across the face, but Bai Liu still didn't wake up.

Mu Sicheng's palm is still scraped by something, and he pauses for a moment before looking slowly at Bai Liu's whitening lips.

Bai Liu's lips reveal two blue, pointed teeth, as if confiscated, which have just scraped the palm of Mu Sicheng's hand.

[A living person without life is a walking corpse. If I take in too much life, I'll probably become a walking corpse, i.e. a zombie].

"Holy shit!!!" Mu Sicheng broke down completely, " Bai Liu didn't you fucking say you had a sense of proportion and wouldn't be sucked by me to this point, didn't you fucking say you were still young and strong enough to be sucked for over an hour of yang energy!"

"It's only been a while! You're too good at it!"

Now Bai Liu doesn't know when he'll wake up and he doesn't know what to do, so he'll have to try what Bai Liu told him to do before he passed out!

Mu Sicheng gritted his teeth and pushed Bai Liu's legs as fast as he could and began to circle the floating corpse behind him, which was undulating in the water, occasionally showing a pair of eyes on the surface, staring at Bai Liu with a salivating ghostly aura, like a crocodile on the hunt.

At the end of the lift, Mu Sicheng's hands were getting sore, so he looked up at the bridge in front of him and pushed forward with his teeth clenched, pushing Bai Liu under the bridge.

The floating corpses behind him had been thrown off by a distance and were not catching up for the moment, but Mu Sicheng did not dare to let up at all, because sooner or later these things were going to catch up!

The question is what to do now! Bai Liu didn't tell him what to do when we get under the bridge!

Mu Sicheng hung the collar of Bai Liu's shirt from the hook of the bridge so that Bai Liu was suspended out of the water and could breathe freely, and then he turned himself around to guard Bai Liu wholeheartedly.

He was panicking, but managed to keep his composure and turned in front of Bai Liu, taking a deep breath as he watched the white-clad floaters swimming closer and closer to them.

Bai Liu is a very methodical person. Bai Liu knows he's going to turn into a zombie, so he must have more or less hinted at how to wake up or deal with one before!

Mu Sicheng's mind was racing, and he felt that he had never moved so fast in his life.

Bai Liu said that zombies drink blood and worship the moon, and that the blood of the living stimulates them!

But the place is full of dead people, even Mu Sicheng himself, so where is the blood of the living!

Mu Sicheng's head was spinning and he still couldn't figure out how to wake Bai Liu up, but the floating corpses were already swimming over, so Mu Sicheng collected his thoughts and looked over at them with a brutal look.

He himself was now a ghost of a helper, and had a natural advantage over dead things like floating corpses with heavy Yin energy, that is, he was not afraid of death.

The white floaters came one by one and kicked one away, one by one and opened one by one, Mu Sicheng was so bloodthirsty at the back that he broke the necks of several floaters who came up to him with red eyes and threw their heads onto the shore with a vengeance.

Get your own ass ashore and find out, damn it!

The floating corpses don't die when their heads are severed, but the loss of their heads makes them disoriented, so they go for their heads, and going for their heads lengthens the time it takes for them to return and fight Mu Sicheng.

Mu Sicheng was panting from the kill, but as he sparred, he gradually found his hands and feet beginning to spin out of shape and his five senses fading away.

He was affected by the yin energy of these yin objects and began to turn into a ghost.
