Bai Liu had been smelling the strong smell of fish coming from the front row when he got into the car. He had always thought it was from Andre because the man had eaten a very large amount of rotten fish fillets in the morning, but he didn't expect it to be from the driver.

Then the fishy smell he smelt in the car yesterday was presumably also from the driver, but it was not at all in the same concentration category as today.

The fishy stench was much stronger on this driver today.

Bai Liu Liu glanced around at the driver, who... felt like he should be a monster too.

[Warning!!! Player identification error! The npc is not a monster! Cannot be entered into the monster book! It's just in an alienated state!

[Player identification error, the npc's trust in the player has dropped dramatically and may act aggressively towards the player]

The driver slowly tore into a bite of the sandwich in his hand, his wobbly eyes looking at Bai Liu for a moment before he suddenly sounded nasty, "...... Do you think I smell disgusting?"

Bai Liu said yes, but hastily denied it on the surface, "No."

"You're looking at me like I'm a monster, heh, bloody arrogant rich man." The driver said grimly, and with that turned his head past his food, no longer bothering with Bai Liu's questioning.

Gee, it's a bit tricky.

Bai Liu thought impassively that this made it much more difficult for him to obtain information at once.

And there was no way he was going to stiff the driver, who had been prompted by the panel to be aggressive towards Bai Liu.

Bai Liu looks to Lucy next to him and whispers a few words, coaxing Lucy to ask the driver.

The driver grunted, but answered Lucy's question.

" Siren Town's attractions are certainly related to mermaids."

The driver's smile was goosebump-inducing, his eyes darting in and out of their sockets, and you didn't know who he was looking at to whom he was speaking.

"Our fishing is not just any fish, there is a special catch of mermaids, all held at night only. And our wax museum is not just any wax museum, we will make wax figures of the caught mermaids and put them on display in the wax museum."

"The first mermaid skeleton we caught in the first place was placed in the wax museum."

"Mermaid fishing?" Bai Liu asked, "Did you really catch mermaids?"

The driver didn't bother with Bai Liu.

Lucy asked again before the driver answered.

The driver gave a meaningful smile, "Yes, although apart from the first one, which was a very beautiful mermaid, all those caught later were of inferior and inferior quality and incomplete form, but indeed they were mermaids."

Andre grunted with sudden contempt, "It's just a gimmick, some of you don't really believe it, do you?"

Jeff opened his mouth to say something, but kept it shut, probably because he had just been beaten up by Andre this morning and was afraid to speak out against him.

But not Lucy, who looked at Andre with a disgruntled look and exclaimed, "I'll believe it! What about you, Bai Liu?" She said and turned her head to look at Bai Liu with anger.

"Seeing is believing." Bai Liu said lightly, "We'll know when we see the fishing event at night."

Andre doesn't dislike Lucy, but he does mock Bai Liu word for word: "I hope some people don't take the opportunity to watch the fishing event at night and run away for crying out loud."

A wicked grin appeared on his face as he said, his eyes raking over Bai Liu, "We would never save you if you fell off the board screaming and were caught by these fishermen as a mermaid and made into a wax figure."

Andre shrugs his shoulders in a fake way while smiling impishly, as if he has already seen Bai Liu fall into the water.

Bai Liu remembered that he had an unfulfilled bet with this Andre for the night.

He had got the details of the bet out of Lucy this morning.

Andre and Bai Liu have to hire two canoes to drift through the night on the Siren, and whoever can't stand to go back first is a coward and doesn't deserve Lucy.

Lucy herself didn't want the bet, but the character Bai Liu was playing had to come.

In a horror game with [mermaids] at its core, the late night sea is certainly a very scary place.

Bai Liu would never let himself go to a place like this with someone who was so brainy and obviously not interested in him when he didn't know the details. He

There is no doubt in my mind that Andre would have tipped his boat over and buried him in the sea if he had met him on the surface.

Bai Liu does not know water.

In a way, the mermaid Siren or whatever is far less frightening to Bai Liu than the sea itself.

Bai Liu will not go near the sea unless it is necessary.

Bai Liu's scowl betrayed his rejection of this so-called betting event.

Andre laughed mockingly, "Look, look, there's our young master, what do you have better than me except money? Not even daring to go to sea."

Bai Liu nods with genuine pleasure: "I'm nothing but rich."

But having money is enough to make him feel satisfied, and he is happy even if the coins are set virtually.

Andre: "......"

Why does this man look like he's been complimented?

Andre snorted, "So you're giving up on Lucy by not going?"

Bai Liu was just about to tell Andre that he didn't want to go to this death-defying event when the coin on his chest vibrated and a mission prompt popped up.

[Trigger the side quest [Ship of True Love], ask player Bai Liu to complete the bet before leaving Siren Town, win Andre in the bet, 100 bonus points].

Bai Liu: "......"

The points reward is actually as much as 100!

The desire for money instantly overcame the fear of water and Bai Liu calmly replied, "No, I'm going and I'm going to beat you."

Lucy hugged Bai Liu with emotion: "Oh, baby, we must stay together when you come back and have a lovely evening."

Bai Liu silently removes Lucy's hand.

The driver turned his head, "You should go and see our wax museum first during the day, there is no mermaid fishing until the evening."

A line of people said yes.

The driver drove around behind a beach in seven different directions.

Bai Liu saw a lot of sun-dried wreckage on that beach.

The driver said that this was where the mermaids were caught, and that the wreckage was all the fragmented remains of the caught mermaids, some of which were so broken that they were dumped on the beach.

Bai Liu did see a number of large fish tail bones and some white skulls scattered about the beach in a messy manner, next to a few nets that were being dried.

Some fishermen came out to collect the bones and nets and looked up to meet Bai Liu and his men. Bai Liu hadn't noticed what the townspeople looked like at night, but now he sees them in daylight ......

These townspeople are very strange looking, with an eerie resemblance to the driver, but even more huntingly inhuman than the driver.

The whites of their eyes are white, so white as to be abnormal, while the pupils are only a bit the size of a soybean wandering aimlessly in their sockets.

The eyes are widely spaced, and the eyes seem to grow next to the ears on either side of the face, much like Bai Liu's impression of a catfish.

They also have grey-black marbling around their eyes that pervades from their eyes down to their necks, and walk in the sun with sluggish, uncanny movements, the backs of their feet rubbing repeatedly on the sand as if they were itching.

If Bai Liu is correct, they also seem to have green scales on the backs of their feet that are about to come off.

They smile at Bai Liu's car as if it were a child sniffing food, frozen and dumb.

Lucy, too, was shocked by the fishermen's looks and muttered, "They look so strange."

These fishermen are much stranger looking than the drivers, more like ...... some kind of odd looking deep sea fish than people.

The driver swallowed the last bite of the foul-smelling sandwich and smiled with a mouthful of black teeth stained with surimi, "Really? We all look like that here, probably because we eat all kinds of fish and it's not very healthy."

Bai Liu narrowed his eyes, he thought these townspeople were quite monster-like too, but he stopped halfway through his thought.

The driver he then misidentified.

While both the townsfolk and the driver are obviously quite inhuman, the driver may not be entered into the [Monster Book], and there is a certain probability that this monster townsfolk, who resembles the driver, will not fit the game's monster setting, which is no joke if it inspires so much hatred from the townsfolk.

But Bai Liu is not so stupid as to really think that this group of strange-looking townspeople are not monsters.

Not a monster There are two possibilities.

The first: it really isn't.

The second: it may be that some standard of monster book determination has not been met.

The town of Siren has an odd set-up where it can be [hatched] and [alienated], where the mermaid wax figure can be hatched and Andre is in an alienated state in the morning, and Bai Liu feels that the townspeople seem to be in some sort of transformed state, which is why it seems so unconventional.

And what the result of these two states would be, Bai Liu did not know; he guessed it might be monsters, but he needed to verify it.

Bai Liu slowly moves his gaze to Andre, who is sitting in front of him.

It's not that he couldn't have saved Andre last night.

But for him, Andre, an NPC who is somewhat aggressive towards him, death is worth more than survival.

Andre watched the driver sucking with relish on his fingers that still had a bit of fish left in them, his appetite unquenchably high, his eyes glazed over as he swallowed, and scratched his ever-itching cheeks again in annoyance.

He then looked in the rear view mirror of the car with a spiteful look at Bai Liu sitting behind him.

Bai Liu This man is so rich, why doesn't he even let him have enough of a few fish steaks, he is now so hungry that when he sees something in the driver's hand, he can't help but snatch it up and eat it.

But the driver ate so fast that before Andre had time to move, the driver had finished eating and was rubbing his tummy in an intoxicated manner.

As he watched the driver lick away the fish from the corner of his mouth with a delicious look on his face, Andre once again recalled the moist and smooth texture of the fillet, which was so tantalisingly smooth that saliva was secreted in his mouth and his throat rolled involuntarily. He had never tasted such a delicious fillet before.

No, it's not just the fillets, all the fish here is cooked in such a way that he can't stop eating it with a delicious flavour.

The driver sighed contentedly, "It's so good, only Siren Town's fish is this good."

Lucy also complimented, "Yes, I've never had such good fish, it's so fresh."

"No, it's not fresh, the secret of Siren Town's delicious fish is never fresh, even this fish is not good fresh, it needs to be rotten and then somewhat cured and specially treated to be good." The smile on the driver's face turned wry, "You are eating a very special kind of fish, one that is not found anywhere else, one that is unique to Siren Town."

Lucy asked curiously, "What kind of fish?"

Driver: "Mermaid."
