Chapter 45: The Kiss

You're not my friend anymore, Lu Xun thought if he had heard this six months ago, he would have gone crazy.

Because there were no positive connotations in the phrase, all he could associate with it was all sorts of awful meanings. For example, Ye Yao was going to cut him off, Ye Yao was fed up with him, and the two of them had been cut off from each other ever since.

The man of six months ago would never have accepted such a statement.

But today everything has been turned upside down and the phrase has been given a different meaning.

He is no longer Ye Yao's friend, as he is Ye Yao's boyfriend.

He is Ye Yao's boyfriend.

In a few short words, each one felt like it was running through his blood.

You want to get close to Ye Yao and feel its warmth from the closest distance.

Ye Yao's shoulders were held down and the hot hand moved down his shoulders to the back of his neck, holding the entire back of his neck in its palm.

The hand at the back of his neck held him forward, Lu Xun's face quickly zoomed in front of him, and Ye Yao quickly reached out and put his hand against Lu Xun's shoulder, "Wait."

"You want to go back on your word?" Lu Xun's tone was sharp and quick, "I told you there's no turning back, words spoken are like water spilled, a gentleman's word is a promise, you can't go back on it, do you know that?"

Ye Yao was in tears as he nudged Lu Xun again, "Aren't you going to say anything to me?"

Lu Xun was slightly flabbergasted as he quickly stood up and crossed directly to Ye Yao's bed.

Ye Yao took a seat inside, and Lu Xun sat down next to him.

They were crammed into a small single bed, surrounded on all sides so that no one could see them.

They sit facing each other and Lu Xun tentatively reaches out to put his arm around Ye Yao's shoulders.

It was a move Lu Xun used to do when they were friends, when they were usually shoulder to shoulder and Lu Xun, who was Ye Yao's best friend, liked to circle Ye Yao's shoulders as a buddy.

But this time the hug was different, and Lu Xun couldn't help but feel a little nervous.

Ye Yao looked at him and leaned forward with his upper body, slumping into his arms in response to his strength, his head resting on his shoulder.

Lu Xun felt his heart melting away with the scent and warmth of Ye Yao in his arms, and he could kiss Ye Yao's ear hair with just a slight tilt of his head.

Lu Xun breathed in the scent of Ye Yao's body greedily. He wanted to take Ye Yao into his arms, but in the end he just restrained his hand on Ye Yao's body.

Ye Yao followed Lu Xun's words and said, "If you invite Mr. Wang and Mr. Zhou to dinner in the future and ask me to transfer the money when you pay the bill, won't everyone laugh at you?"

"Afraid of what marriage is not loving people laugh, they know nothing." Lu Xun remembered something and hurriedly went to Ye Yao's pockets, "Your various payment apps are tying up my bank card right now, where's my phone?"

He wasn't going to sign some silly prenup anyway, his money was going to be a joint property of the husband and wife, and he could finally let Ye Yao spend his money in name only!

Lu Xun was unable to find Ye Yao's phone and his groping hand was held down by Ye Yao while his shoulder was lightened and his cheek was rubbed against something soft and warm.

Lu Xun couldn't react at first until he saw Ye Yao's slightly arched eyes.

Ye Yao was just kissing him.

The blood flowed faster throughout his body and Lu Xun grabbed Ye Yao's chin, unable to hold back any longer.

They were both kissing for the first time, their breathing all jumbled, just lips against lips too close for them.

"Give me a kiss," Lu Xun pressed, pecking Ye Yao's lips at the same time, "let me kiss you."

Isn't this already a kiss?

Ye Yao, of course, knew what Lu Xun was referring to, but he wasn't prepared for it so quickly.

Ten minutes ago they had just become a couple, and now, ten minutes later, he was like a bone, being circled by a hungry wolf.

Lu Xun is so passionate that he is the one who has been secretly in love with Lu Xun for a long time, but he is a bit overwhelmed by this fierce passion.

Ye Yao's chin is cupped and lifted as he tightens his grip on Lu Xun's fingers.

Ye Yao snapped back to his senses, pushed Lu Xun off his body and replied in a raised voice, "Nothing, no fight, he was tickling me for fun."

Xiao Pang and Wen Ke put their minds at ease and went on with their business.

Ye Yao, inside the curtain, couldn't resist and glared at Lu Xun.

The man who started this mess laughed heartily as he took Ye Yao's hand, kissed it on his fingertips and asked contentedly, "Sleeping together tonight? Our son is old enough to sleep in a bed with one bear and doesn't need us to live apart."

Ye Yao was not expecting Lu Xun to nibble on his hands right after he had nibbled on his mouth, and the whole process went faster than a rocket.

It was nothing like the warm hugs he imagined after being together, cuddling and talking slowly together, putting aside his shyness to explore a kiss or whatever after the atmosphere was in place.

Even Lu Xun as a person is a bit different from before, the old Lu Xun was bold and straight, now Lu Xun looks at him and makes him feel like Lu Xun is about to jump on him again every now and then.

Probably too excited to be in a relationship at the beginning, understandably.

Ye Yao drew back his hand, although regretful, but still rational to reject the now over-excited Lu Xun: "Now is still in the dormitory, make some noise is not good to be heard. Xiao Pang and Wen Ke received a message from Lu Xun inviting them to a dormitory dinner at a very nice restaurant and asking if they were free.

Xiao Pang and Wen Ke replied quickly in the affirmative and happily came to Ye Yao on their way back to the dormitory to discuss the matter.

"I asked Brother Lu why he suddenly invited guests to dinner, and he said it was a rule of the jungle." Xiao Pang rubbed his round head, "What kind of kang-fu rule is that, Ye Yao?"

Ye Yao had a suspicion, but didn't say it outright, just said vaguely, "Maybe Lu Xun is in a good mood lately? Or maybe he just wanted to simply have a meal with everyone."

Although we don't know why, Lu Xun treated everyone to a meal and Wen Ke changed into his favourite check shirt for the occasion, which was very nice.

"Mum, your son is going to get another long look, let me see how the food tastes in a famous private restaurant." Xiao Pang ran a comb through his slatted hair, made sure his phone was 100 per cent charged before unplugging the charging head, and wiped the camera with a wet tissue to make sure he could have fun with the photos later.

They have one less class than Lu Xun. Lu Xun does not go back to the dormitory, they just meet in front of the school.

Seeing that it was about time, Ye Yao and the three of them left the dormitory and went to the entrance of the school, where they met up with Lu Xun and took a taxi to the city centre.

Xiao Pang, who occupies a larger area, is in the front passenger seat, while Ye Yao and the others are in the back.

Ye Yao is seated in the middle, flanked by Lu Xun and Wen Ke on either side of him.

Wen Ke, who couldn't guess the reason for the invitation, asked Lu Xun directly, "Brother Lu, why are you inviting me to dinner all of a sudden, is it something big?"

Ye Yao heard Lu Xun give a laugh, "Yes, a great joy."

This comment aroused Xiao Pang's and Wen Ke's curiosity and they began to imagine what had happened.

"No wonder Brother Lu is glowing, I just swiped the forum and it says Brother Lu has a smile on his face when he goes to class, it's weird." Xiao Pang said.

Wen Ke wiped a non-existent cold sweat and panicked, "No way, Brother Lu your family isn't the richest in the world, is it?"

"That's not it either, it's an even bigger joy than that." Lu Xun says.

Xiao Pang and Wen Ke are shocked, and Ye Yao turns his head quickly to scan Lu Xun, who leans back in his chair with a half-squint, blinks at him, and then eyes down.

Ye Yao followed Lu Xun's gaze and saw Lu Xun's hand resting in the narrow gap between their two positions, not naturally closed but stretched and spread out as if waiting for something to be placed on it.

They were surrounded by their familiar roommates, and anyone who turned their heads to look would have had a direct view of them, so Lu Xun didn't just force his hand on Ye Yao's. He chose to wait, for Ye Yao's mercy, or to do nothing.

Wen Ke and Xiao Pang were still talking happily when Ye Yao silently lifted his left hand and placed it on top of Lu Xun's palm, whereupon Lu Xun's hand quickly closed and clasped his hand tightly.

Ye Yao has mixed feelings.

He was not too naive, he knew that many people in big families, even if they were with someone of the same sex and their relationship was stable, would not necessarily announce it to the public. After all, the business world is a battlefield, and homosexuality is still a bad thing in the eyes of many people, and may affect the market value of the company.

Ye Yao understood and accepted it, so although he and Lu Xun were together, he didn't mention it to anyone else, let alone push Lu Xun to come out to the family, it was all up to Lu Xun's attitude.

And now Lu Xun is gradually expressing himself to him.

It's his favourite kind of attitude.

Ye Yao took Lu Xun's hand back and opened it when he felt Lu Xun trying to insert his fingers between his fingers.

They clasped fingers in a taxi full of familiar faces, feeling the warmth of each other's hands.

The taxi stopped at its destination and everyone got out together and walked into the food hall.

This is a private restaurant built in the heart of the city. The restaurant is in the middle of a quiet area and the interior is very peaceful, to the surprise of Xiao Pang and Wen Ke, who were guided by the waiter as they walked around and took photos.

Ye Yao and Lu Xun slowly followed them, occasionally crossing their fingers, Lu Xun leaned in close to Ye Yao's ear and whispered, "Do we look like we're having an affair?"

Ye Yao smiled lightly and looked at Lu Xun: "Isn't it exciting and do you like the feeling?"

Lu Xun raised an eyebrow and gave Ye Yao's hand a gentle squeeze: "Alas Ye students, this is your fault, you are a good young man who grew up under the red flag, how can you do such a heartless and conscientious thing?"

"It's not illegal to find an underground lover, it's not heartless." Ye Yao said.

Lu Xun said righteously and deeply: "The law is the bottom line of morality, how can the law be used as a standard? A person who doesn't break the law can be a scum of the earth! How can I teach you this truth to a law student? It pains me, Ye students."

Ye Yao looked like he had a clear understanding: "So Lu students are trying to ......?"

"I'm going to move from being an underground lover to being on the stage." Lu Xun said, "You can just call me husband outside from now on."

Ye Yao: "......"

Lu Xun wouldn't let up: "Are you going to scream?"

Ye Yao, knowing that Lu Xun was deliberately making light of the issue, stood still and said seriously, "Are you sure, Lu Xun, that you've thought about it? I suggest you think about it for a while longer, otherwise if we break up later, you-"

If they break up, Lu Xun, a well-known figure, may be attacked and discredited by his opponents if he tries to be with someone else in the future.

Lu Xun is not like the ordinary man he is, whose every move is noticed.

But Ye Yao couldn't get the latter words out, he was dragged into a corner by Lu Xun.

Entering the cubicle they had booked, a high-end private restaurant where not many people would just pass by, Ye Yao was pressed into a deserted place by Lu Xun.

His example of a possibility enraged the beast, and Lu Xun lifted his chin and kissed him fiercely.
